I don't normally watch BB, but BB5 has been different. Instead of carefully choosing a bunch of people with no visible emotional or mental disorders, they've gone with the celebrity formula this time and brought in the most difficult, disparate and odd people they could find. Thank f*ck they didn't recruit at the goth weekend is all I can say!!! Anyway, I was rudely awakened at 2am because Ghost's feet were in my face. He was lying the wrong way up in the bed to see the portable telly better. I asked why (I could hear all this yelling but couldn't see) and he said he was reading the texts, there had been a big fight in the house. So he told me some of it and I passed out half-way through the tale. I was tired, leave me alone!

Anyway, today everyone is talking about it, Ghost ploughed through 30 pages on the BB forum on C4 for news, and generally I am dying to know who gets booted out.

Now that's out of the way, I am feeling virtuous as I cleaned out the dregs of the gaming cupboard and have put some dice sets and Magic the Gathering cards on ebay, as well as some bits and pieces I hadn't previously sold, at reduced prices, and some stuff I sort of planned for keeping for me but decided I'd rather have the money :) Bloody phone bills *mutters*

So, busy day, and it's gaming tonight. No doubt Donna will be buzzing about BB5, we're such bloody sad cases!

punky_boy_1983 got his PS2 yesterday from the local gaming shop, and the game we ordered for him off ebay arrived this morning, he is over the moon :) My extra large corset bag that I picked up for a fiver arrived today as well, happy happy joy joy. Very positive feedback will be left!

My ICT is playing up a little, I'm hoping the pills ease the symptoms in time for everyone coming round, or I'll be running to the loo every 20 minutes and disrupting the game :(

Big Brother is Watching

Funnily enough I do see a bit irony within the new series of BB (not that I watch it)

Despite many people thinking we inveted it (it was actually the Dutch) we did have it before America, and arguably did influence America into taking it.

The first series in America was an absolute failure. So for the second series they went looking for 'trailer trash' and people who would generally clash with each other.

The ratings soared - perhaps due to some of the downright evil acts of revenge that they were doing (notably one person cleaned the toilet with somebody elses toothbrush)
And even to the extent that Big Brother kicked out one of the housemates, not for 'rigging votes' or drawing on the walls... for attempted murder!

Recent US series have also had more daring challenges. (including swapping clothes with somebody of the opposite sex within a certain time limit - in a bath filled with slime)
Certainly beats the highlight of the last UK series - "break the world record for building highest pile of sugar cubes" - woah.

I'm still not a fan of BB - but at least they're trying to do something vaguely interesting this time!

I'm really loving this series. I've only previously bothered with series one, the others bored me quickly.

There's some very hot tempers in there, as demonstrated last night!
