Anyway. I went to Langholm on Friday for the Common Ridings. I saw lots of ponies (I WANT a pony!) and got severely sunburned, despite being in the sun for a sum total of 15 minutes. My forehead is very pink, and my arms and shoulders are bright red. Ow. Sleeping has been a problem, but never mind. I came home and prepared a huge veggie buffet, and caught a few hours sleep. Then I got up and helped Ghost make the sandwiches for the buffet, and put on my 'Bond Girl' outfit, a stretchy red dress which made me look FAT as I had no corset on. I spent ages curling my hair, which promptly dropped out in the heat. Fuck.

The 10th Anniversary party went quite well, although not as many people turned up as the happy couple had hoped. I split my time between the party and acidburnz666's hen night. Unfortunately, due to the 'friendly' between Newcastle and Rangers, a number of my countrymen were in the upstairs bar. Being deeply offensive. I felt like apologising for my whole city at one point, and the stuff they were singing had me furious (anti-Catholic anthems etc). To add insult to injury, one of them tried to accost me on the stairs while 'serenading' me. Sometimes, I remember all the bad things about 'home' :( I spent Sunday explaining some of this to Ghost (well, between lying in bed feeling sorry for myself because my sunburn was so bad) who just thinks it's weird.

But the hen night was fun, Icy seemed a bit down, so I tried to cheer her up. I also sneakily won the 'peel the label off the bottle' competition by getting the 12 year old barman to give me a really cold bottle of water so that the condensation made the outside of the bottle wet :) I cheated, nanananananana ;p

So, back to work today. Eventually, after I answer 3 days' worth of emails and wash a million dishes up!
