What a day!
Apr. 23rd, 2005 04:29 pmWent to the market today covered in make-up as I was so sunburned I looked like a lobster. I had to go on my own as Ghost was throwing up. So, I struggled onto the bus with a HUGE case, a wooden display board and a carrier bag. At 7.19am. :0 The bus driver told off several men who didn't offer to help me, I hadn't the heart to tell him I wouldn't have accepted their help anyway, no matter how much I was struggling, on principle.
Go there, joined a huge queue for a stall as the market manager was off on holiday and had left someone particularly ill-equipped to deal with the market in charge.
I got my stall and Gary, my mate who works for Phaze, wagged a bail of purple brocade at me! I nearly had kittens, I have been asking him for ages to get some :) So, I have 5+m ofpurple brocade! 'tis indeed very purty. I also have 2m bubblegum pink PVC, 2m white PVC and 5m purple santoon (for lining). All for (get this) £10! You may now all eat your hearts out with envy ;) So, although I didn't do very well on the market, I know I can sell loads of stuff made from the fabrics.
Capital One also sent Ghost a credit card, the fools!
Anyway, Ghost showed up about 11am, by which point I had organised someone to share a stall with AND transport to Whitby in October, a lift home for my stall stock from the market today, and someone to watch the stall for 5 minutes while I ran to the loo ;) So he needn't have come, but he was worried about me on my own. He is now back in bed, poor soul, as he is very poorly bad.
Anyway, I am off to trace off my two lovely new patterns and put this purple brocade to good use ;)
