Films

'Young Victoria' was awesome, the corsets I spotted were even period correct, and the lead actress's actually seemed to fit her! The dresses, OMG the dresses :O I always thought the Romantic Period (1830s) was butt ugly, but in 'Young Victoria'... now I want one :o

And the coats! Good god, why can't men dress like that now??? Given the option, why do they want to look like rag-pickers in pre-dirtied jeans and washed-out t-shirts?

Could have done without that terrible gaspy song at the end though, I turned the credits off as I was so annoyed by the breathless phrasing.

So yes, go see 'Young Victoria' :D

I have to say, it's now one of my favourite films. Went to see it at the pictures (on my own coz no one wanted to go with me), then I bought it the day it came out on DVD. Absolutely love it. It's a great film with beautiful outfits and a great storyline. It's one of my "snuggle-up-on-the-sofa with-chocolate" movies. :)
