Save Lord Byron's Ancestral home!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/programmes/restoration/profiles/?14

Lord Byron's ancestral home is crumbling. Help save it, please? I don't know about anyone else, but I would LOVE to see Newstead Abbey one day, and I will certainly be voting to save it. Apparently if it wins its regional heat, it will still get some money towards its restoration, plus some much needed publicity. Don't let it go the way of his home in Seaham - what a state that is now!

With apologies to anyone who has seen this story already on netgoth!

I'd post about it on LJUK if I were you... Raise awareness etc. I don't want to see it go, I've never been there before, but it sounds like a place I'd really like to see!

Where's LJUK? I have never seen it, I tend to stick to a little ring of goth/ alternative related groups and never look at the other stuff cause it's scary out there!
