Help me pick my advert

I have to pick one of these adverts to send in to Devolution before Nickie comes round and kills me ;) I like both, I am trying to decide between them!

I'm trying to arrange something for February/ March, we're looking at using Saltwell Park as a location. It will probably be on a Saturday, I don't know if that's any good for you?

If not, we will arrange something around the goth weekend :D

Ooh sounds ideal! I always have every weekend off and finish at 4.30 on fridays so plenty of time for travel etc.
All i need is about 1 week notice max and some idea of hair/makeup kind of style you want :)
Or the goth weekend would also be good! I'd be heading around during the day on the saturday and be at the sunday and monday club nights anyway.

I am hoping to get a better look before I commit to definite shots, however I want an Elizabethan shot or two in the Maze, a few Victorian style ones in and around the mansion, and an avant garde one in the huge bird cage they're reputed to have. If you want to do the avant-garde thing, that suits me fine :) Something along the lines of this:

You know, over-the-top, doll-like make-up and big hair :) I don't want to give away too much on an unlocked post, but I am planning at least one new style of corset, which I think should be ready for this shoot :)

I hesitate to get drawn into anything like this, but from my point of view, the picture of Laura is technically better. I've seen Jenni's photographs in other places, but that one looks ever so slightly out of focus to me, which may be down to the resolution of the camera used.
Remeber, if you need anything photoshopping, I can (probably) do it.

Fist one I reckon. Although the second picture is nice, the first is more suited for an advertisement as it has a face as a focal point...

The second image does a better job of showing off the clothing, but it's too far back and so there's no emphasis - you shouldn't have more water in your advert than fabric. Zoom in of about 30% and it would be great.

The photo of Jenni makes a better ad, in that its proven that people respond more strongly to faces, although it doesn't show off your clothing as well. Maybe fiddle with the contrast a little.

Last thing - don't be afraid of either your titling or website address, as they're the most important things in the advert. Knock them up a few point sizes. If you want anything else designing let me know and I'll pop something together for you. I do it all day at work.

Thanks Dan, I might well take you up on that! I had to get this out pretty quickly in the end, so the second one went out 'as is'. I am working on another photo shoot though, and I will probably be looking to do at least one advert from that, with a view to sending it to magazines for approval as a fashion spread, so I will be back on to you in a few weeks no doubt!
