There's more stuff in my Dawanda shop, and I've updated my website too :) I will be working on the website more as the day goes on, having a bit of trouble with my net connection at the moment so some of the pictures aren't adding very well. I'm about to attempt to sort that out. Wish me luck!

Thank you :) I had it on the dummy yesterday at the market, and it was stopping people in their tracks!

Thank you, they're really easy to make. I just used a sloper and cut from the point of the shoulder to around about the breastbone (about 18cms down) at the front, and did the same for the back. I used some cotton drill to give them some body, otherwise I just used some stuff from my 'scrap' bag.

The lace wasn't too expensive, it wasn't exactly cheap either but the trims are what makes these, so it's worth paying a wee bit extra for trims. It actually took me longer to sew down the frogs than to make the capelets because it has to be done by hand, and I was tired!

The lace trims are indeed lovely. Sometimes the lace can cost more that the actual fabric, but it can be so worth it. I work one day a week for a wholesale supplier for sewing accesosries. And they are getting new laces next month. I am kind of looking forward to it. :)

Well I think that you have placed the frog closures very nice, you do not see any stitches.

The stuff I've used is all made by Dovecraft, I get it through a haberdashery wholesaler in the UK :) New lace is always good, I have been immensely pleased with mine :)

That collar looks like it's made by using the pattern for a high neck top, I am assuming the closures are in the back? If you have a pattern for a high-necked Victorian style shirt, it would be quite easy to make that. The trims/ decals shouldn't be hard to come by - I got a similar decals from Raven's Lace Place on ebay a while ago. I like the red velvet :D

Also, there was a costume pattern for collars, from Butterick I think, which is the same as that collar. Sometimes it's quicker to spend the money on the commercial pattern rather than spend ages drafting from scratch!
