Anyway, some preview shots from my Tim Burton themed shoot. I totally didn't expect the 'Corpse Bride' make-up, or the stylist to want to use EVERYTHING I took in one outfit. Kathryn from Asphodel may shout at me as I made some feathery collars and cuffs which look kind of like hers, I did only intend to make something for myself but as usual, I got such a positive response it looks like I will have to make some more....

Amy in striped skirt and Victorian blouse (names needed!) and plastic boned overbust, with feather collar and cuffs, mini top hat, and a loan of my Wicked Lady parasol (one of my most prized possessions!)

Two more of Amy.

I am waiting for the 'tog to bring me a disk, on which she will be altering the make-up in photoshop so that I can use the pictures on the site - I am not sure if the make-up makes them too theatrical for my purposes.

Also, I am interviewed in the new issue of Alt Fashion magazine! :o Fame at last :D

That's pretty much what I'd wear forever. Black and white stripes are LOVE.

Gorgeous photographs, scenery, model - and, mostly importantly - stitchery!

Thank you, I nearly went blind lining up the stripes at all the seams on the skirt at 11.30pm the night before the shoot, on a machine that's nearly 100 years old. I am, of course, quite mad :)

And we are all gifted with beautiful things to see because of it, and therefore THANK YOU. Flounces, yeee<3

Eyecandy = my reason for living, srsly.

Was the shoot in Jesmond? I could do with some landscapes... Just joking. It looks stunning, but I'd be a bit unsure about the makeup too.

It was indeed in Jesmond Dene, there is a nice ruined watermill as well. I put the pics on the flickr page and my MySpac.

Will drop you a message about availability and we'll sort out a shoot :)

I love the blouse and skirt! WANT!!!! corset looks nice but not for me as big girls need big bones!

[identity profile] pandaemonaeum.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it's just plastic boned as Amy is teeny. I have made a couple in big sizes with hidden steel bones, which have worked very well :)

Have you seen the ruined church further up in the trees? Its lovely. And apparently they are going to be rebuilding the old mill at some point in the not too distant future. We Larp at jesmond, love the place

I thought I saw that, but it was very hot and I just wanted to go home by that point!

Strangely enough, the people I was working with LARP at Jesmond Dene...
