Technical help

What programmes will open a compressed .rar file? I have some photographs on a disc in this format, and need to access them, however my PC refuses to open it. I don't want to have to boot up the old one without a very good reason!

Microsoft say I need WinAce, I just wondered if one of my photo editing programmes (Photoshop, Adobe, something like that) would open it?

You can get a free trial download online.

I'll give that a try, thanks Rhona!

I use WinRAR.

It's a 'free trial' but I've had it for over a year ;-)

It doesn't kick you out it just says you've oversubscribed by 300+ days... (this is legit as well, not a crack or hookie copy)

pretty much what everyone else has said.
If i get sick of the nag screen, i de-install and re-install it.
