Writer's Block: Down on Memory Lane

[Error: unknown template qotd]It's really vivid. I would have been about 3, judging by the content of the memory. My Aunt Cathy was pushing my younger sister, Tracey, up and down her hallway in an old-fashioned Silver Cross pram, singing "The White Cliffs of Dover" (one of my aunt's favourite songs). Tracey was wailing the place down. I was standing in the kitchen, with Tizer in a plastic tumbler. I still remember that the tumbler was red with white polka dots, and can smell the plastic cup.

It's an odd thing to remember, really.

Mine would probably be when i was in nursery. I have a few from around the same time i believe (one was a dream, another was of being sat on by a boy in nursery) but i mostly remember how green the nursery carpet was and of painting a witch (it was halloween) and everyone going on about how excellent it was for my age and i remember loving dressing up as a witch on the same day (hahah nothing has changed!) and one of my fake witchy fingers popping off and me getting distressed at losing it...
Ah i have some fun memories. Until i got to secondary school :/

I had a terrible time at primary school, which toughened me up for secondary school. It's easy to get through secondary school if the teachers love you because you're clever, and you don't care if the kids at school like you or not because you've had enough of arseholes!

The only thing that got me through secondary school was the teachers and the fact i loved doing school work (haha yeah). I wish i had learnt not to care at that point, but i'd never had any issues before then. I was teachers pet (especially art and English) and i was always top at the class (except for maths, i hate maths and was almost in bottom class) but this just gave the idiots even more 'reason' to rip the shit out of me. I did have some friends, but the vast majority of people in the school were evil. It's funny because years later when i was in college, plenty of them tried to become friendly with me, especially the ones who had turned to being gothy or into metallers and one lad in particular who told me i was disgusting and ugly on a regular basis tried to get into my pants. Hah!
