I'm off my lazy fat behind...

... and getting on with stuff!

Gotta go up to Stanley, go some stuff to post and got to pay rent. Must pick up shopping, how boring, or else I will starve to death :o

Then I have sewing to do (when don't I?), I've got to make a skirt for Helen and one for Pat this afternoon. Gaming tonight, [livejournal.com profile] toxi_0 is coming round, along with Chris, David and Donna (maybe). I'm trying to convince [livejournal.com profile] punky_boy_1983 to join in, it's painfully clear that he is totally bored and unmotivated at the moment.

I wish there was some way I could get him out to meet some people, but the best place for that is Cuba, and I don't think I can bear to go there again. I would probably punch someone, either the 96th person who told me my [insert garment here] was cool, or the main DJ who is crap. I had kind of hoped he would enjoy the Cage, but I think it's too 'in your face metal' for him. So it's Cube, or Skates On, and there is no WAY I am going to Skates On, I would need a) ear plugs, b) a bouncer and c) alcohol, or at least valium. I do not deal well with angsty kids. The problem is, he is used to the Cathouse in Glasgow. Now, the Cathouse is not perfect. The venue is up loads of stairs, it's a bit scuzzy, and the bar ain't cheap. However, they play all kinds of alternative music, it's really friendly, and you get to know everyone really quickly. And he used to go 3 nights a week! Also, Glasgow has live music all the time, and Newcastle has..... hardly anything, really. Besides which, we live about 12 miles from Newcastle and there are no night buses, he'd have to get a very expensive cab home.

I'm thinking of actually asking someone like Damien or [livejournal.com profile] acidburnz666 if they will take him to Cuba/ the Arena with them, in order that he actually gets a night out without me somewhere in the background, which can't be fun. Also, I don't want the emo kids who remember us having a shop, or know we run CH, just talking to him because of us (yes, they are indeed that shallow). He keeps talking about going home, but I think that will just make matters worse, as it will highlight just how little he has to do down here :/

Suggestions on a postcard please? Please?????

Hm well i've tried to suggest to him that he joins in...but i just think he needs a bigger kick up the bum. As for Cuba if i'm ever going i usually get a lift home or a friend's house to crash at so i'm sure an extra body wouldn't be a problem...
