A bit upset

I went over to the WGW forum to have a bit of a look. I have currently misplaced my password so I don't post there much anyway, and besides there are a couple of people on there who just put my blood pressure up.

Of course, I wound up with my blood pressure up anyway :/

There's some nasty stuff being said about Olivia Barnard Firth (the Wicked Lady) on there, which I found quite upsetting. Olivia encouraged me from my first trip to the Whitby Dracula Society/ WGW to start my own business, she has been incredibly nice and supportive to me, and is unfailingly lovely, even in the face of incredible rudeness and appalling behaviour. I treat Olivia as an example of how I would like to be, she is so gracious to people, even when they are spilling drinks on her/ almost setting light to her outfits/ pushing her out of the way out of sheer bad manners. So I get quite upset when I see people saying revolting things about her. OK, there have been occasions when she has had a 'bodyguard'. I can actually only think of one; she was wearing some jewellery belonging to Count Alexander (Baron Von Berghasy). It was an incredibly old, ornate and beautiful diamond necklace, which I will covet shamelessly until they put me in the ground. It was so valuable that she had to have a bodyguard with her for insurance purposes. He was actually a very nice man, despite the large holster on his shoulder.

She is also part of a small group, who all have a kind of 'trench' mentality, from the bloody awful stuff screamed at us during WGW 1998, due to our shocking crime of liking vampires and wearing fangs. One of them, another good friend of mine, is a huge bloke, who commended me on my bravery for wearing my fangs that weekend, as he had actually been afraid to. Olivia and I flaunted ours proudly, because no-one tells us what to wear.

I am quite disheartened that even at the goth weekend ill-mannered people scream abuse at others, in the same manner that townies and chavs do. How incredibly rude.

As to Olivia not being a goth, the last time I looked, she was in a goth band (Beautiful Deadly Children).

So I don't think I'll go back there for a while. And I'm glad I don't have Spa tickets, and have to suffer such childish behaviour.
